5.1. Methodological overview
Project is an architects tool to merge all site conditions, to answer to a determinated program. This subject pretends that students take advantage of developing a urban area project, from the architectural project's dimension, reducing the distance between urban project and architectural project. Necesarily, the exercise will solve the urban scale complexity (intermediate scale).
5.2. Learning tasks
The program offers to the student in order to help to get the learning results includes the following activities:
Activity type 3 (practices): 45 hours 3 groups (60 hours 2 groups)
Activity type 4 (visits): 10 hours 1 group of 50 (4 hours 1 group of 70)
Activity type 6 (practical work): 40 hours (40 hours)
Activity type 7 (personal study): 40 hours (40 hours)
Activity type 1 (lectures): 15 hours, 1 group of 50 (6 hours, 1 group of 70)
5.3. Syllabus
The workshop has trhee parts:
First, students recognises the site conditions, and it will finish with the delivery of general urban approaches and strategies. Students will make a morphological analisys and identify problems and opportunities, merging with the general proposal.
Second, it is developed the project of the architectural and urban work, inside the general planning, which it is previosly considered.
Third, it is reviwed the previous planning to delivery an integrated urban-architectural develop.
5.4. Course planning and calendar
Schedule for works and oral presentations
Theory and methodology: some theoritical lesson wil be given focused at the begining of the course. Some useful examples for the students work will be shown and discussed during the lessons.
